Press Bio

Justin Boyson is a singer-songwriter based in Jonestown, Texas, at the edge of the Hill Country he grew up in. Raised between the suburbs of San Antonio and the cedar-heavy back roads of Pipe Creek, he spent twenty years in Austin — including a stretch fronting a post-hardcore band — before the music turned slower, quieter, and more deliberate.

His songs sit at the intersection of indie folk and Americana: careful, unhurried, and emotionally precise. The writing is where listeners tend to land first — lyrics that carry the density of poetry inside folk arrangements that range from intimate and still to mid-tempo country. Underneath it all, something restless that never quite went away.

"How long is a minute? Try holding your breath."

More to follow as new music takes shape.
